The Relationship Between Self-Reliance and Faith in G-d
Wishing a happy Easter to those who celebrate, and a lovely day to all.
Man, that post title is pretty heavy. I will tell you right now, I am only gonna scrape the tip of the iceberg, if that.
This is a recurrent theme in this blog, as I journey to find inner peace and tap into what a higher power means to me.
For now, this point to ponder is in the form of a mash-up cover I created of a song sang by Neshama Carlebach ("Kraticha Ka") and one by Taylor Swift ("I Did Something Bad"). The audio contains the Hebrew words (a song citing two biblical lines, the first being psalm 16:11, the second being Isaiah 38:12), but I will put the English words here, to show how I combined the two: I called upon You, O G-d, help me I never trust a narcissist But they love me So I play 'em like a violin And I make it look oh so easy The way of life make known to me 'Cause for every lie I tell them They tell me three This is how the world works Now all he thinks about is me To my poverty bring an end as quickly as from day to night.
