Release the Reigns
Letting go and letting G-d is so hard.
And so abstract.
Sometimes I feel like it’s easier to determine what not to do.
Like, what is the opposite of letting go and letting G-d?
And then, not do those things. Or be mindful of when I am doing them and then make a conscious decision whether or not to continue engaging with those behaviors.
Examples of NOT letting go and letting G-d:
-Go on social media often
-Check likes on social media
-Attach to my thoughts
-Spiral downward into a rabbit hole
-Spiral upward into hyper-positivity
-Spiral at all
-Believe my inner narrative as the ultimate truth—I mean it’s been the reigning commentator for more than 30 years, it basically has tenure at this point!
Things that help me to not engage in the above behaviors:
-Be well-rested
-Eat regularly and well
-Move my body on a regular basis
-Go out in nature
-Connect with others striving to do the same (whether through conversation or related books/videos)
Ok, so in conclusion,
How to Let Go and Let G-d is in essence How to Not Not Let Go and Let G-d!
